What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 was enacted by California in 1986 to protect consumers by informing them about their potential exposure to chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Over 900 chemicals are currently on the Prop 65 list, including acrylamide.
